1/20/18 At the 1/15/18 meeting, a member asked for a recommendation of a (free) video editing program. I had recommended Windows Movie Maker.
I checked and it has officially been discontinued and no longer supported. However, if your PC had Win XP before upgrading to Win 7/8/10, it should still be on your PC.
Microsoft claims that the Win 10 "Photos" app replaces Movie Maker, but it does not replace it functionally at all. Don't bother if you really want to edit videos.
If you search the Internet for "free Windows Movie Maker Download", you may see a few sites that offer it. However, DON'T DO IT". These all seem to have valid Windows .msi installation files, but reportedly they also include viruses.
So ... What to Do?
Here are two free video editors that have been ported to Windows from Linux and that seem to offer good results.

CCleaner Installation Caution
1/15/2018
Carl Nordeen let us know about an automatic installation of Avast free Anti Virus when users install newer versions of CCleaner. Version 5.37 automatically did that and there was no user override. Version 5.38 defaults to installing Avast, but does allow the user to uncheck that option. This appears only as you start to actually install the software after downloading it.
Carl reminded us to take installation of software seriously and read each screen to avoid getting other software installed without your knowledge.

A: Irfanview: http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm
Xnview: https://www.xnview.com/en/xnview/
Here is a link to a web page that discusses both of these freeware utilities and has some screen shots:
